Visiting Granny
Last night was one of London’s saddest nights, a peaceful protest turned sour. I woke up this morning watching the news again and ended up spending most of my morning at home with my husband having breakfast and listening to the news.
My granny had called me the night before and asked us to come round and have a good old fashioned Turkish BBQ with the family, so of course we couldn't say no.
I once again went to the wardrobe took one look outside at the lovely grey clouds with a glimmer of hope for some sunshine.
I bought this cardigan from Marks and Spencers in the sale and I love it. Its puffy sleeves and comfy fitting seemed a perfect look for visiting granny,
I teamed it with a tailored pair of black shorts and my amazing Victorian lace up boots.
To top of the look I wore my lovely 20’s/30’s style headband which I brought in Primark about 4 months ago for my Mexico trip!
I would say this look was a combination of decades and of course approved by Granny herself.

Minnie Londoner : Portobello Trekker
The moment I woke up I felt as hot as a kettle (temperature bloggers not that in love with myself) yes it was hot in the capital and I’m sure I wasn’t the only one spoilt for choice with regards to summer dresses ….
So I threw on this little number, a fab floral one shoulder summer mini dress from Topshop and some gold Primarni sandles teamed with my infamous vintage bag.
So I met up with my bestie for a cheeky shopping trip, the goal was to shop for some denim shorts and maybe some furniture (depending on the size, my boot cant fit much :( ) but obviously being amongst some other tasty summer ticklers we were roped in by Portobello’s colorful stalls and had no choice but to purchase some other little treats.
We could here the sounds of the steel band playing in the small park getting ready for the Bank Holiday Notting Hill Carnival, which was warming us right up! August bank holiday weekend cant wait!
We browsed the market stall purchasing some lovely shabby chic jewelery and eventually ended up in an amazing secondhand/vintage furniture shop, I was in my element, clearly! check out the pics :)

Minnie Londoner: I'm Mustard!
So living in London can be brilliant but we all know the weather can be a little….whats the word …dodgy!
So I bumped into a few friends down Brick Lane on Sunday and ended up driving to Notting Hill and having a roof BBQ party in honor of the brilliant Amy Winehouse who sadly passed away on Saturday :(
Not really being a summery look because of all the tragedy this weekend, I managed to put this outfit together without really thinking about it, it seemed to have reflected the country’s mood pretty well…
- we will miss London’s very own home grown talent – RIP Amy x
